  • Valenti Advances to NCAA Final

    For the second year in a row, Matt Valenti will wrestle for the NCAA title at 133 pounds. The Penn senior earned a 4-2 decision over Cal Poly's Darrell Vasquez to advance to Saturday night's final. His opponent will be Oklahoma State's Coleman Scott, who upset top-seeded Nick Simmons.

  • Wrestling Ready for NCAA Championships

    Penn heads into the NCAA Championships looking to improve upon its 12th-place team finish a year ago. Among the wrestlers making an appearance are returning national champion Matt Valenti and 2006 All-American Matt Herrington. Valenti will try to become Penn's first two-time champion in 65 years.
